Children's and Music Director Melody Vaughn
Melody is the Director of Music and Children’s Ministries at Crestwood. She has held that position for 21 years and considers it an honor and a blessing to be a part of the fellowship here. Melody is also one of the co-hosts of the Morning JoyRide on Joy FM radio and has worked in some capacity with the station for over 6 years. Joy FM was named the Gospel Music Associations “Radio Station of the Year” in 2010 and Melody was able to travel to Nashville, Tennessee in April to receive the Dove Award for that honor with the Joy FM team.
Melody is the wife of husband, Gary and they have been married for 25 wonderful years. She is the mom of two great kids…. Lindsey (who is 21 and a Junior at Gardner-Webb University majoring in Elementary Education) and Steven (who is 18 and a Senior at Salem Baptist Christian School and still deciding what he would like to pursue after graduation). Melody considers her family to be the absolute joy of her life. There is also a cute golden retriever that is part of the family named “Ginger” (who thinks she is human) that rules over the Vaughn household.
Melody’s interests include sports (especially watching her kids play them), reading, music, food (cooking and eating), movies, enjoying wonderful friendships, and of course her favorite thing……laughter.
Melody is so very grateful for the life that God has given to her and trusted her with. Life has taught her some valuable lessons along the way and she is so very thankful for a loving Savior that has guided her through it all.
