Sunday School Director Claudette Wood
I am the wife of Pastor Dave Wood. We have been at Crestwood
since April 2001. During that time, I have served the Lord in several different
positions by applying the administrative gifts He has given me to do so—women’s
ministry, Sunday School Teacher, VBS Director, Sunday School Director, Missions
Director, Youth Leader (five years), as well as serving on several different
committees throughout the 10 years we’ve been here. I love my church family and
am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve the Lord and them through
these different ministries.
In addition, I work outside the home in the position of Administrative Assistant to the chaplains at the Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries, a wonderful local ministry to the inmates of the jail and prison in our area.
Dave and I have a son, Josh, who is married to Melinda. Josh and Mel live in Pennsylvania with their dog, Maggie. We also have a daughter, Jenni, and three grandsons—Nate, Phil, and Andre. Jenni and the boys live in North Carolina.
My favorite book of the Bible (though I love them all!) is Ephesians. And my favorite verse is Romans 5.8-9 which says, "But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us! 9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath."
I also maintain a blog site: http://www.chwood.blogspot.com.
